Hello!
My name is Ken Wilson and I’ve been writing English language teaching books all my adult life, with 30+ ELT titles to my name, including a dozen series of course books.
In the late twentieth century, before I concentrated on writing books, I was artistic director of the English Teaching Theatre, a company which toured the world performing stage-shows for learners of English. The ETT made more than 250 tours to 55 countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia and played to more than a million students and teachers of English.
I have also given talks and workshops in more than fifty countries, including most of Europe, and also Argentina, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Peru, Qatar, Japan, South Korea, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates.
After completing a Masters in Creative Writing at Birkbeck College in 2017, he wrote his first novel The Duke’s Portrait, a comic novel in the style of PG Wodehouse and set in 1937. The Duke’s Portrait was published by Europe Books in November 2021.
I’ve just finished writing King and Country, the sequel to The Duke’s Portrait, which involves some of the same central characters and a whole slew of new ones and is set in Berlin and London in 1938.
